NPTC Level 2 Diploma Countryside and Environment. - Countryside Management
1 Year full time. Entry Requirements: Interview plus 4 GCESE’s at D-E or equivalent.
This introductory course can lead directly to employment or may be used as a route to progression on to the level 3 programmes.The course is a combination of practical and classroom work and is made up of 8 Units.
These are:
Conservation and Improvement of Habitat
Ecology of Trees, Woods and Forests
Estate Maintenance
Work Related Experience
Environment and Land-based Business
Land Based Machinery Operations
Pest and Predator Control
Deer Management
The course also includes Group Tutorials and Citizenship, Personal Support Tutorials and Functional Skills.
Relevant 'certificates of competence' which will help you gain employment in a range of land based occupations are also offered.
